Rene Marie Russo, an American actor and film maker who was a former supermodel is also a director of films. Her elegant beauty and her accomplishments in the world of film are a testament to her skills as an actor. Young model she first began modeling in the 70s. Her popularity quickly grew in the modeling industry. Beginning in the 1980s she took acting classes and studied theater before appearing on theater stage of Los Angeles. Russo first made her television debut in ABCs Sable in the role of Eden Kendell, in 1987. In her debut film Major League two years after she played Tom Berengers romantic interest. Some critics initially doubted her talent as an actor however her steady performances won them over. In Wolfgang Petersens Outbreak she was especially praised by critics due to her performance to Dustin Hoffman, Morgan Freeman and others. Her admission to acting isn't something she enjoys. In 2005 she took a long self-imposed break. For the film Thor, she returned to acting. In addition, she starred in Nightcrawler - her husband's Oscar Award winning film. Rose Namajunas is one of the most successful female athletes in the UFC. She started her career in amateur fighting, where she fought for a variety of regional competitions. Then she enlisted with Invicta Fighting Championships before joining Ultimate Fighting Championships (UFC). Thanks to her accomplishments in and outside the Octagon, Namajunas is a household word since joining UFC. Namajunas is born June 29 1993 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to a Lithuanian Immigrant family. Rose played basketball and kickboxing while growing up. She made her debut professionally at the age of 18 at the Invicta Fighting Championships, where she was able to win two fights via submission. The fights caught the eye to Dana White who signed her to join the UFC the strawweight division in December 2014 at just 22. Rose has experienced highs as well as she's also experienced lows throughout her career, yet she has always come out on the top. Rose was a part of Carla Esparza to win the Women s Strawweight Championship in The Ultimate Fighter 20 Finale. Rose won with a technical knockout in just three minutes of Round One. Rose was also named Fighter Of The Night and made history as it marked the first time that a woman was ever a participant at a championship level in a major promotional organization all over the world. Namajunas continued to have many other victories, including 2 wins over Joanna Jedrzejczyk that earned her Best Performance of the Night award from UFC.
